Sheila Bentley

After drawing in every margin of every book in her childhood home, Sheila Bentley moved on to filling tablets, canvases and eventually found her true passion in clay. While she occasionally paints a canvas or two, she keeps coming back to her sculptures--particularly witches.

Sheila's whimsical sculptures are inspired by vintage postcards and holiday collectibles. She now combines her love of painting and sculpture by dressing her witches, Santas and angels in hand-painted clothing. She uses no molds, and each piece is truly one-of-a-kind that will not be reproduced.

Shelia's unique sculptures have found their way into homes across the country and overseas. They have also appeared in national publications, including Doll Reader and Country Marketplace.

FolkWorks began featuring Sheila's work five years ago.
